Hi, All! Jan Dupont here. Can't come to the party, but.....
1970-72 partied - hey, I was young and foolish
1972-76 attended UWO on and off as $ would allow, and became a "responsible citizen"
1977 married Peter Westergard, NHS Class of '65
1982 Peter & I split, and I moved to Los Angeles area
1982-98 worked as an estimator, project manager, marketing manager, and business line analyst in several industries. Also heavily involved in Women's Ministries at my church, and literacy tutoring at LA Mission. Did food service and taught budgeting classes to recovery clients at Union Station Mission in Pasadena. (These are ministries to the homeless)
1998 married Denny Black who owns Old Town Mortgage in Monrovia, CA. Still in women's ministries. Also involved in classroom reading for "Monrovia Reads" program.
2002 left corporate world and went back to school to become a medical assistant. After graduation, I worked with Alzheimers and dementia patients. Soon Denny and I are moving to the Palm Springs area where I will be working in a medical spa. I write..working on a women's devotional. Also make jewelry- beading and my latest love, silversmithing. Denny was nervous when I said I wanted a torch and bench for my birthday. ;-)
2005 This may seem opportunistic, but I'll take that chance. This is a huge deal for me.....I am training to take part in a marathon in October that will be raising money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. My uncle has leukemia and my sister has a rare form of lymphoma....PLEASE see more information on my homepage. If you are so moved, you may support my efforts and donate to LLS through my homepage at: www.active.com/donate/tntglaJDupont <http://www.active.com/donate/tntglaJDupont> . Or make out a check to LLS and send it to me at: 215 W. Greystone Ave., Monrovia CA 91016. ( By the way, I have the dubious honor of being the oldest participant in the marathon.) Thanks and God bless you all!
